UrbanLab is a research group at the Department of Geography and Geoinformation Science at George Mason University dedicated to conducting data-driven research in relation to urban phenomena such as transportation and mobility, urban change, and related social phenomena. The group has expertise in spatial and spatiotemporal data management, machine learning especially with respect to spatial and spatiotemporal data, agent-based modeling, and data visualization. Lead by Dieter Pfoser and Andreas Zuefle, the group currently has three postdocs and eight graduate students. Our work is supported by grants from NSF, DARPA, and NGA. Our efforts also contribute to the mission of the Mason DataLab.
